On designated golf days, you will meet your host and fellow golfers at a designated point onboard. Together you will disembark, collect your golf clubs (which will be securely stored for you), and join the transportation that will take you to the days' golf course. Your host will arrange foursomes depending on skill level, giving you a variety of people to play with throughout your trip. Should you choose to participate, a Stableford competition will be played each day with minor prizes for the days winner. During the day, you will be given a snack and drinks, and upon conclusion of the round, you will be transported back to the ship for a celebratory round of drinks.
Tee times at the following golf courses have been secured. In the event the course is unable to host the group due to circumstances out of our control, Eventz In Paradise will make alternative arrangements. Please note, we will still play in rainy weather.
Chisholm Links (Dunedin)
Christchurch Golf Club
The Christchurch Golf Club, at Shirley Links, has a heritage that dates back to 1873 making it the second oldest club in New Zealand, and the seventh oldest outside the UK. The first nine greens were laid out for a cost of six pounds and were ready for play on July 23 1900. The Club gradually acquired more land and the course was expanded to 18 holes by 1910. The first Clubhouse was built in 1903.
Napier Golf Course
The Napier Golf Club “Waiohiki” is the oldest Golf Club in Hawke’s Bay. Opening in 1896 we just celebrated 125 years of golf at the Club. Over the years it has been the site of many New Zealand and inter-provincial tournaments, hosting the first New Zealand Open in 1907.
Royal Wellington Golf Course
The Royal Wellington Golf Club is rated as New Zealand’s best private members’ parkland golf course. Situated on the banks of the Hutt River near Silverstream, the Royal Wellington Golf experience offers an enjoyable and stimulating golfing challenge in a remarkably beautiful setting. There are two courses on-site, the 9-hole Terrace Course was introduced by Sloan Morpeth and J.S Watson in 1974, but the Heretaunga Course opened in 1908 by a group of likeminded avid golfers, but as recently as 2013, Greg Turner and Scott MacPherson remodeled the course.
